Abortion is NOT the Answer

The 39th anniversary of the famous Roe v. Wade trial is coming up soon, and people are bringing up the topic of abortion again. With people bringing up the topic of abortion, it is time for us, as a people, to stand up against abortion.

Let us break this down.

Abortion, right now, is legal as long as the fetus is less that 24 weeks old. I do not see any other boundaries as to why you cannot have an abortion while I was doing my research.

So what are the reasons for having an abortion? The ones that come to mind right away are: unplanned pregnancy, woman’s self health, and unwanted children. The only one that really is hard for me to take side on is the woman’s self health. The other two are just unacceptable reasons to have an abortion. President Obama recently made a statement on the issue of abortion saying,

Why is not wanting to go through the trauma of childbirth now a “worthy” reason?
Better question, who the fuck are you to deem what is acceptable and what is not?

“The 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade is the chance to recognize the fundamental constitutional right to abortion and to continue efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.”

Can I just say, “WOW”! This statement makes me a little upset. Do not get me wrong, I want the daughters of our country to have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons.The thing with this statement is, how does abortion have to do anything with their rights, freedoms, and opportunities?

If you can’t control your own body, that has everything to do with rights.

Maybe I am just old school, but from the last time I checked, it is still a choice to have sex.

The thing is people, if you do not want to have a baby… do not have sex! It is really that simple. Sure, “she is on birth control” or whatever, but there is no promise that she will not get pregnant.

So sex is only for making teh babiez? What about women who never want children, should they never have sex?

I want to honor women, and give them freedom, but the MOST honor I can give them is the honor of respecting them enough to not put them into places where they have to even contemplate abortion.

You want to honor women by not giving them to chose what to do with their body. Seems legit.

Which brings me back to woman’s health. This truly is a hard one for me. I have heard the stories. Tim Tebow, who now plays for the NFL’s Denver Broncos, was a child that threatened to kill his mother while she was pregnant. She was told countless times to have an abortion so that she could live, but she chose not do that. Instead she continued to carry Tim Tebow, and ended up having a successful birth.

Thanks for this one example of a women living without having an abortion.

I do not believe that abortion is the answer. I will say that when it comes to endangering the woman’s life it is up to you and God. I do not know if it is right or wrong, and honestly there are so many factors that could play into those situations. Seek God and He will lead you to the decision that you are supposed to make.
