The girl had no legal access to abortion in Pennsylvania, where her parents must consent. This is the direct consequence of anti-choice zealots: taking away what dignity, respect, and alternatives left were left to a 13 year old who is being controlled, manipulated, and raped by someone more than twice her age. Way to go “pro-lifers”, what an awesome accomplishment: empowering rapists like Michael Lisk over 13 year old girls, leading her to desperately jab herself with a pencil.

oo hell no.. im prolife and ima bout to tell you what is wrong with this bullshit. how dare you say that abortions should be legal to stop 13 YEAR OLDS from shoving a pencil up their vaginas, when they shouldnt have been having sex in the first place.. its the parents fault if they dont teach their kids bout safe sex AND if their 13 year old is getting prego they shouldnt even have had kids.

i feel like i read that she was raped. if she was raped she could have told her parents. it’s a bit different than if she were just out having casual sex and then had to hide it. My aunt had a kid at 13, so don’t tell me it would have killed her.

I’m not picking on you specifically, well I kind of am, but you have made the common mistake of not reading the article. Please, please, please read the article carefully before you make any sort of commentary.

Yes, the child was raped. No, her parents may not have been forgiving because the sex was not consensual. Assuming that her parents would have forgiven her is a giant leap.

Otherwise, all I have to say is that if you think a women does not have the right to control something that is hijacking her body to survive, you are denying rights to people.
